Clear up his words beside him so he gets the right definition that match the text it come from. Clear up all definition with him giving plenty of examples which he can use and apply and if he still can't use it consequently get him to draw it out or use play-doe to really attain what it is he was have a hard time near. 'Dyslexia' will disappear under these schedule.
Dyslexia is a learning disability. It doesn't directly effect memory or how and when a character talks. What it does effect is literacy skills.
Take the kid to a child psychologist who specialises within learning disorders.
